ABSENTEE / PHONE BID POLICY


*Deadline for Absentee Bids is 3PM on Auction Day.
*ABSENTEE BIDS are not accepted below one-half of the low estimate.
*PHONE BIDS are reserved for those lots with a minimum opening bid of $500.

*If you are local to the auction and plan to pick up your purchases, pick-up is available at our Allendale gallery on the Friday and Monday following the auction from 10AM-4PM.
*For items not picked up by Monday 4PM, the UPS Store will transport all small purchased items from the Allendale showroom to their facility in Ridgewood. If you choose to pick up your items from the UPS STORE, you will be charged a $15 per lot handling fee from UPS (for Shipping/Delivery See Terms & Conditions of Sale).
*A 19% Buyer’s Premium will be added to each invoice paid by MasterCard or Visa discounted to 17% if paid by cash or check. Credit card payments are accepted for domestic purchases only and limited to $2000 per auction. For invoices over that amount, full payment will be expected in the form of cash or check. Leighton reserves the right to hold property until checks clear. Purchases are also subject to New Jersey sales tax unless a tax-exempt certificate is on file with us.
*INTERNATIONAL SALES TO BE PAID BY WIRE TRANSFER ONLY.
*Leighton will not be held responsible for failure to execute bids.
*In the event of identical bids, the earliest bid will take precedence.
